At these times of fear can you really afford to take that risk?
In these changing times, the difference between a wipe around and a quality sanitising clean has never been more important and is increasingly becoming more prevalent.
What may have passed as a suitable clean before is now being reviewed and the difference in cleans is coming to light.
Is it a surface clean you need, where the space is visibly dust free, or a thorough sanitising clean?
They are quite different and require a hugely different set of resource and skills…here are a few examples why:
- Time taken – A sanitising clean will take more than twice the amount of time to complete as a standard clean. This is not only as cleaners require more time to focus on key areas but also to ensure chemicals are able to ‘cure’ into the surfaces.
- Focus points – while a standard clean would focus on large and obvious areas of dirt and dust, a sanitising clean has an alternative focus and concentrates on the heavy usage areas that are most likely to harbour contagions like doorknobs, microwave handles or remote controls!
- Procedures – When conducting sanitising or disinfecting cleans, procedures are vital. Equipment should not be used in different areas and items need to be contained and disposed of/cleaned thoroughly. It’s important to consider is that cloth they are using simply carrying contamination from one place to another…
